“Comparison of hydrothermal decomposition characteristics between glucose and cellbiose” In hydrothermal treatment of biomass, glucose product will be the main desired product, but production of cellobiose is also expected. Also, these sugars further gets decomposed into many organic products. In this study, comparison of glucose and cellobiose was made in terms of hydrothermal decomposition. Hydrothermal treatment of these sugars were made by continuous flow type reactor. Both of them were analyzed and identify the liquid decomposition product by several king of analyzer such as TOC, HPLC, and LCMS. The purpose of this study is to identify the decomposition product and for more understanding of the decomposition pathway. |
