To foster communication between faculty staffs and new international students,
a welcome party will be organized every October. In this year, an additional party was held on July 25 for existing international students. The party began with a lecture by Associate Professor Khaji with the title: “An overview of computational mechanics approaches for solving some civil engineering problems”, followed by the party time with the presentation by students from each laboratory. The students presented and shared all their living and studying as well as feeling when they are staying at Hiroshima University.

The party was very exciting, professors and international students enjoyed the light meal with snacks and soft drinks, they talked and discussed together very freely about life, study, etc. This party is really a good opportunity for professors and students to know more other members from different laboratories and different research fields.

We feel very happy to see many students came and enjoyed the first welcome party for international students. We hope to see you at the next welcome party every October.
