On May 27 (Kasumi Campus) and 28 (Higashihiroshima Campus), 2025, we held a Information session on the details of support and points to consider when applying for the following two fellowship programs.

　・Program for Developing and Supporting the Next-Generation of Innovative Researchers
　・Project for Developing and Supporting the Next-Generation AI Researchers 

　　Participants: 96 (total for both campuses)

Since the explanation was given only in Japanese, we have also uploaded an English version of the materials for international students.（2025/5/30)

These are the answers to the questions raised by the participants of the information session.

Q1: “Is it a problem that the graduate school entrance exam will be after the SPRING application ?”
A1: There is no problem even if either application is made before or after the other. (FAQ No.20) 
However, as stated in the application guideline, being selected for SPRING (or Next Generation AI) does not waive the graduate school entrance exam.
If you fail to pass the entrance examination and are not admitted, your application for SPRING (or Next-Generation AI) will be cancelled.

Q2: "I heard that only applicants for the second round of screening will be contacted after the first round. Will those that were selected or rejected in the initial screening be notified after the first round ?”
A2: Because the results at the end of the initial screening are tentative, we cannot notify the applicants of the results at that time. In the case of this call, we will notify you after the final decision made in September, so please wait until then.

Q3: “If I apply for SPRING and Next Generation AI in this call (June) and am selected only for SPRING, can I apply again for Next Generation AI in the next call ?”
A3: It is possible for applicants who will be admitted in 2026. We may contact those SPRING applicants whose research theme is suitable for Next Generation AI to apply for it.
