International Symposium on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals

The Graduate School of Biosphere Science organized the International Symposium on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on October 2, as part of the International Summer School 2018.

In this symposium, through 7 sessions covering environment ~ biological diversity ~ bio-resource production ~ food sciences, a total of 15 researchers and students from 8 partner universities in Asia and 7 students of the Graduate School of Biosphere Science delivered their research outcomes.

The presenters discussed how we could elaborate comprehensive solutions or breakthroughs to help achieve the UN’s SDGs, to pursue a sustainable and peaceful world through our researches, and more than one hundred participants composed of students and university staffs enjoyed the discussion on this important issue.

In addition, poster presentations were also given by students based on their attendance at international conferences supported by the Graduate School of Biosphere Science.
