Due to the border enforcement measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 imposed by the Japanese government, it may be necessary to quarantine at a hotel etc. for 14 days following the day you arrive in Japan. This can be very costly; depending on accommodation type and food expenses, it is likely to be more than 200,000 yen. It is your own responsibility to cover any such costs. You are also required to refrain from using public transport, including transportation from the airport.
Regarding these matters, please be sure to check the latest updates regarding the border enforcement measures in relation to COVID-19 and get prepared ahead of time.
