Features of the Curriculum
• Advanced Research in Economics Course:
In response to the significant shift in economics toward empirical research based on data analysis, and in light of the growing global demand for doctoral-level professionals not only in international organizations but also in technology companies and multinational corporations, the course adopts educational and research approaches that emphasize bridging theory and empirical research and developing advanced analytical capabilities.
In the Master’s Course, specialized subjects designed to bridge theory and empirical research in economics and related fields are systematically offered to foster advanced analytical capabilities.
In the Doctoral Course, Special Topics is offered to promote the acquisition of the specialized knowledge and competencies required to bridge theory and empirical research in economics and related fields.
• Management and Economics Course:
In response to growing societal demands for more practical competencies in identifying and solving problems, the course integrates the finance field of the Economics Program and places particular emphasis on business administration, accounting, and marketing science. It also establishes a framework that responds to the reskilling needs of working professionals by positioning data analysis as a primary analytical tool.
In the Master’s Course, specialized subjects, including data analysis, are systematically offered to bridge theory and empirical research in business administration, accounting, marketing science, and related fields.
In the Doctoral Course, Special Research is offered to promote the acquisition of the specialized knowledge and competencies required to bridge theory and empirical research in business administration, accounting, marketing science, and related fields.
Degrees Awarded
The program is named the Economics and Management Program because it consists of two courses: the Advanced Research in Economics Course, which aims to develop researchers who can become the next generation of leaders in the field of economics, and the Management and Economics Course, which aims to develop highly skilled professionals and researchers capable of applying economics and business administration in professional practice.
In the Master’s Course, students will be awarded one of the following degrees: Master of Economics, Master of Management, or Master of Philosophy. In the Doctoral Course, students will be awarded one of the following degrees: Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, Doctor of Philosophy in Management, or Doctor of Philosophy in Arts and Sciences.
