A New Stage in 2027 - Evolving into the Graduate School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences

The Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Hiroshima University, will be renamed the Graduate School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences in April 2027 in order to more clearly reflect its three core pillars: 
Educational Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences. 
At the same time, several degree programs will be partially reorganized.
Successful applicants for the 2027 admission, which will be held in 2026, will enroll in the renamed graduate school (division).
Please note that there will be no change in the total number of student admissions to the Graduate School.

Note: This change in name and the reorganization of the degree program will apply only to students admitted in or after Academic Year 2027. There will be no changes to the program affiliation, curriculum, or other academic requirements for students admitted in Academic Year 2026 or earlier.
