This is an announcement regarding UpToDate, a database available to Kasumi Campus users.

 

UpToDate Expert AI has recently been released and is now available at Hiroshima University.

UpToDate Expert AI is a generative AI tool for healthcare professionals that provides answers based on the peer-reviewed content available in UpToDate, a clinical decision support resource. It supports the resolution of clinical questions, clinical reasoning, and medical education.

Each response includes links to the UpToDate content and PubMed references used to generate the answer, allowing users to easily verify supporting information and original articles. Because responses are based exclusively on UpToDate content, the information provided is consistent and transparent. Data entered into the system is not used for AI training.

 

Accessing UpToDate Expert AI
To use UpToDate Expert AI, you must first create a personal account (the same account used for UpToDate). After logging in to UpToDate, click “Ask Expert AI” on the main search page.

Maintaining Your Account
To keep your account active, you must log in to your account from the university network at least once every 90 days from your last on-campus login. This requirement repeats every 90 days.
