The Center for Academic Practice and Resources (CAPR) held the 3rd “HU Students' Meeting” of Academic Year 2026 on October 20, 2026, on the first floor of Mirai Crea. The HU Students' Meeting is a networking event planned and organized three times a year by CAPR student staff members. Its purpose is to promote interaction across faculties and academic years by providing opportunities for students to talk about their university experiences and build connections with one another.
This event was mainly organized for students who enrolled in October, including international students. A total of 28 participants attended from the School of Integrated Arts and Sciences, the School of Education, the School of Applied Biological Science, the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, the Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life, the Graduate School of Innovation and Practice for Smart Society, and the Morito Institute of Global Higher Education.
During the event, participants first took part in icebreaker activities in seven groups together with CAPR student staff members. Afterward, a “Free Talk” session was held, during which participants were free to move between seats and interact with others. Students from different academic years, fields of study, and areas of origin engaged in lively conversations on a wide range of topics, including their cultures and university life in Saijo.
Many participants shared positive feedback, such as, “I met many new people and made friends,” and “I gained useful information about both academics and daily life.” In fact, many participants exchanged contact information, and we hope that the connections formed through this event will continue to grow in the future.
The post-event survey also revealed that many participants were interested in interacting with people from different academic years, academic fields, and countries. Based on these findings, CAPR will continue to organize events that meet the needs and interests of students.
This was the final HU Students' Meeting of the academic year. The next meeting is scheduled to be held in the next academic year. Information about future events will be announced through the CAPR website, Momiji, SNS, and so on. The student staff look forward to welcoming you to future events.
