CAPR held the 2nd HU Student’ Meeting “Our Graduate Life”.

On July 17, 2024, the CAPR held the 2nd HU Student' Meeting “Our Graduate Life” on the first floor of the Student Plaza. This event aims to provide a platform for participants to casually share their concerns about their studies and daily life, fostering new connections beyond affiliations, academic years, and nationalities. It is held 3 times a year, and this time it was conducted in both Japanese and English, targeting graduate students.

In this second event of the year, 23 graduate students from the Graduate Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences, Advanced Science and Engineering, and Integrated Sciences for Life, among others, participated. Student staff from our center also joined, and the participants were divided into four groups where they introduced themselves and shared their experiences and concerns about their graduate student life, forgetting the time as they engaged in lively discussions.

The post-event survey revealed positive feedback such as "I was able to socialize with other international students and learn from them" and "Kind people, good mix between Japanese and foreign students", indicating that the event provided a valuable opportunity to expand their social networks.

The next HU Student' Meeting is scheduled for the 3rd term of this academic year. We will create separate groups for Japanese and English conversations. We student staff of the CAPR are looking forward to meeting you at the next event.
