ITB - Hiroshima University - JFE Steel Joint Seminar was held at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia on October 19, 2017.

Hiroshima University concluded a Comprehensive Research Collaboration Agreement with JFE Steel Co.,Ltd. in September, 2011 and an Inter-university Agreement with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in September, 2006. Because JFE steel and ITB also have a good relationship including active collaboration researches and employment of the graduates, the three parties held the Joint Seminar together.

About 100 students, faculties and staff members attended the seminar. The seminar  started with welcome address by Prof. Dir. Zainal Abidin, Vice Dean of Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung, followed by the presentations of the latest researches on“Advanced Materials & Mechanical Engineering” by JFE Steel, ITB and Hiroshima University members. Participated students listened intently to each presentation and actively asked questions to the speakers.

We are hoping for the further development of good relationships among JEF Steel, ITB and Hiroshima University and it prompts more active exchanges, such as students exchange and internship.
