Hiroshima University Cosmos Nursery Room(in Kasumi campus) invites new children of the fiscal year 2019 (for the regular childcare service).

Those who plan to make your children enter the nursery are kindly requested to fill and submit the application forms to the Gender Equality Promotion Office (Childcare Unit) through the in-campus mail or the post service by the following deadline.

Please be noted that there might be a case that your request is not accepted depending on the number of received applications.

1. As a general rule, this facility admits infants and preschoolers, who are in good health and currently on the waiting list of the other nurseries and whose parent(s)/guardian(s) is(are) (an) employee(s)/(a)  student(s)  of  Hiroshima  University  and  working/studying  at  any  one  of  the Kasumi, Higashi-Senda, Shinonome, or Midori campuses.
2. Infants between 9 weeks and 15 months old (exclusive of 15 months old) are accepted.   Even   children   aged   15   months   or   older   are   admitted depending on the availability of the facility, only until the end of the academic year in which they become 3 years old.

Even a child, who is already accepted and currently attends the nursery, cannot use the childcare services,
-   if an applicant becomes no longer a faculty member or a student of Hiroshima University; or
-   while an applicant or his/her spouse is on childcare leave.

2. Certificate of Employment (of your spouse)
   * When your spouse is working for Hiroshima University, you do not have to submit a Certificate of Employment.
   * When your spouse’s employment period expires by March 31, 2019, please enter where he/she plans to work on or after April 1, 2019 in the remarks column.
   * If you cannot submit a Certificate of Employment of your spouse for the reason as he/she is self-employed or in a poor state of health or caregiving to your relatives, etc., please contact the Gender Equality Promotion Office.

* Please be careful that the in-campus mail and the post services takes some time (a couple of days) to reach us.

• Cosmos Nursery Room is for the children of Hiroshima University staff and students who are currently on a waiting list of admission for the other nurseries. Once your child(ren) get(s) admission for another nursery, please let us know that.
• If you plan to use the regular childcare service someday during the fiscal year, please apply this time.
• Cosmos Nursery Room invites children every fiscal year and chooses who to enter depending on their priority order.
• Before reaching a final decision, we will arrange a parent-child interview with the Cosmos Nursery's staff. Based on the results of the interview, we can decide whether or not to enroll.
• Even a child, who is already accepted and currently attends the nursery, cannot use the childcare services if an applicant becomes no longer a faculty member or a student of Hiroshima University; or while an applicant or his/her spouse is on childcare leave.
• In the case of a student's application, we might contact his/her supervisor or department office to confirm the enrollment.
• Temporary childcare service is not covered this time.
