The goal of the Department of Information Engineering is (1) to produce engineers, technical specialists, and researchers who have high level knowledge on information engineering and science, excellent skills on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to compete in the international market, (2) to educate students in practical knowledge and skills by being part of the state-of-the-art researches and developments.
Students who have finished this department are expected to be active:
- in system developments and system integrations at IT companies,
- in survey, plan, design, develpment, and evaluation at Electronics, Electric, and communication companies,
- in research at universities, institutes, and company laboratories.
Students in this department are educated in theories and applications of information engineering including applied mathematics, and receive Doctoral/Master's degree of Engineering. Some students can receive Doctoral/Master's degree of Arts, where Engineering concepts are utilized in the field of Mathematics.
