I recently completed a master's degree at the Graduate School of Engineering of Hiroshima University, and am currently enrolled as a PhD student. My student life at Hiroshima University has been both exciting and beneficial. The state-of-the-art laboratories together with comprehensive library facilities and the peaceful environment of the university make it an ideal place to study.

The Information Engineering Department has a broad portfolio of academic strengths and excellent research facilities with highly specialized laboratories like our data management laboratory. There is good access in the faculty information room and the University libraries where I can collect recent books and journals. All in all, I believe prospective students will be able study here in a comfortable and inspiring environment with great satisfaction.

The ancient Chinese philosopher Laozi said, “Give a man a fish, you have fed him for today; teach a man to fish, and you have fed him for a lifetime.” Five years’ study at the Department of Information Engineering of Hiroshima University not only taught me knowledge about research but also lit the torch of inspiration for me. That is the treasure of my life.

The Information Engineering Department is a unique department in our faculty. It provides a wonderful opportunity for foreign students to learn and develop their research skills with the benefit of excellent facilities in a soothing environment. The facilities available in the library are amazing and as a bonus you can learn from devoted and determined teachers in our department. The patience and perseverance they show in their teaching will no doubt help you become the best student in the world!
