On March 11, Hiroshima University concluded a Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia to promote academic exchanges and cooperation. The agreement was signed by Hiroshima University President Ochi and Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of the Ministry of Education, in the signing ceremony held at the Ministry of Education, in Phnom Penh.

On March 14, another Cooperation Agreement was concluded with the Ministry of Education of Myanmar. At the signing ceremony, President Ochi signed the agreement with Dr. Thein Win, Director-General for the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, in attendance of the president of the University of Yangon and presidents of other universities around Yangon city.

After the signing ceremony, we visited Ambassador Tateshi Higuchi of the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar. We reported the conclusion of our agreement with the Ministry of Education and exchanged opinions on the future of exchanges between our university and Myanmar.

With the signing of the agreements with both ministries, we are looking forward to seeing the development of exchanges with higher education institutions in Cambodia and Myanmar in the future.
