The 2013 1st Semester Orientation for Newly Arrived International Students Held

At Hiroshima University there are 1,081 international students enrolled (as of 11/1/2012), and every April and October new international students enter the university. Orientations are held for them each April and October.

This time as always, April 8 (Mon) 2013 on the Kasumi Campus and April 12 (Fri) on the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus, the 2013 1st Semester Orientation for Newly Arrived International Students was held for those international students who entered the university in April. Of those students, there were 83 who participated, receiving explanations on vital information for life as a Hiroshima University student in Japanese, Chinese and English. (Information included scholastic consultation; life consultation; consultation for when they are distressed, injured or ill; accommodation, visa and scholarship; international exchange activities; Harassment Consultation Room; Career Center, and a library tour.)

At Hiroshima University, in order to ease international students into student life, we created an international student support network that goes beyond the faculties and affiliated framework, and supports international students in their lives as students.
