On October 16, 2014, Hiroshima University and Hiroshima Prefecture jointly organized “Hiroshima Education Fair” at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (located in Bandung City) , which is an academic exchange agreement partner university of HU. About 150 students took part in this event. HU presented 5 graduate schools and programs.

At the beginning, representing the organizer, Specially Appointed Professor Hironori Deguchi delivered the opening address. Then, Mr. Sri Harto, Director-General of the International Department of UPI, gave a welcoming speech. Furthermore, Mr. Asep Bayu Dani Nandiyanto, a graduate of HU Graduate School of Engineering (lecturer at UPI) introduced his study abroad experience at HU and the charm of Hiroshima.

Afterwards, there was an individual consultation and the teaching staff explained the characteristics of each graduate school as well as the implementation status of the entrance exam. Many students eagerly asked questions.

At HU, together with fostering human resources capable of working in the global community, expanding the number of foreign students is also considered as an urgent challenge. We hope that this fair and our other activities will encourage many foreign students to come and study at HU.
