【Education】
At the faculty, We are teaching "Pathologic Basis of Disease" including etiology, morphological changes, pathological diagnosis and therapy of diseases by "Tutorial method" and practical training by using "Virtual Slide System". We are also teaching Pathological diagnosis & recent topics of pathology to students at Clinical training. At the post-graduate course, the schemas listed below will be given to each student, for obtaining PhD and also teaching pathological diagnosis of biopsy, surgical specimens and autopsy cases for acquisition of certification of professional pathologist and cyto-pathologist.
【Research】
1.Analysis of biological nature of human cancers, especially lung cancer and mesothelioma, and its application for pathological diagnosis and appropriate therapy
2.Role of microRNAs in mesothelioma and lung cancer.
3.Role of apoptosis related protein and genes in mesothelioma
4.Development of useful antibodies for pathological diagnosis at general hospitals.
5.Molecular epidemiological study of asbestos-related diseases (lung cancers and mesotheliomas)
6.Pathobiological analysis of respiratory organ among former poisonous gas exposures
7.Development of system of pathology education and pathology diagnosis by Virtual slide
