As for treatment of arrhythmia, Hiroshima University Hospital is one of the top hospitals. We perform catheter ablation or device therapy using most-advanced medical equipment. We also make a strong effort to treat lethal arrhythmia, such as Brigade syndrome. We can use left atrial appendage closure device (WACHMAN(R)) to prevent cerebral infarction in patients with atrial fibrillation.
The Heart Failure Center in Hiroshima University Hospital, established in 2012, has focused on maintaining the heart failure patients’ activities of daily life and preventing their readmission through the interprofessional team approaches. We can use FFRCT for estimate coronary heart diseases and also try to cure complex coronary vessels. We positively treat patients with cardiogenic shock using transvascular left ventricular assist device (Impella®).
