The curriculum of the Integrated Arts and Sciences fosters the ability to:
- Recognize the value of the traditional academic structure, while studying several academic fields, and understand how each field relates to issues in today’s world;
- Collect, organize, analyze, and integrate complex and varied pieces of knowledge and information, and discover new meaning and value in them;
- Interpret various problems in one’s own terms, come up with integrated solutions from multifaceted approaches; and
- Express oneself effectively in Japanese and other languages, and acquire the knowledge and sensitivity needed to communicate with people from other cultures and other academic fields.
