Hiroshima University 3rd Student’s Meeting Held Successfully!

The Center for Academic Practice and Resources (CAPR) held the 3rd Student’s Meeting on Thursday, October 30, at the Student Plaza (1F) on the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus. A total of 13 students (School of Integrated Arts and Sciences, Education, Engineering, Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Advanced Science and Engineering, Integrated Sciences for Life, and Innovation and Practice for Smart Society) participated in the event.

In the first half of the session, we played an icebreaker game called “Two Truths and a Lie.” Each participant shared "three facts" about themselves, with one of them actually being false. Other members then guessed which statement was the lie. Through this activity, participants discovered unexpected sides of one another, and the room was soon filled with laughter and a relaxed atmosphere.

In the second half, participants exchanged opinions freely under themes such as “First impressions of Hiroshima University,” “Balancing studies and daily life,” and “Challenges and worries in student life and how to overcome them. ”Everyone spoke openly about their experiences, sharing empathy and encouragement in a warm and friendly environment.

According to the post-event survey, participants commented:"The event was well-organized, and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. I could interact with other students and learn useful information","It’s fun to have new friends and share our thoughts. It’s quite a nice break time from the study stress."

There were also comments such as “I wanted to talk more, so I hope the next session will be longer.” We will take this feedback into account as we plan future events.

The next Student’s Meeting is scheduled for January 2026. Details will be announced on the CAPR website and Momiji once they are finalized. All of us, the student staff of CAPR, look forward to seeing you at the next Student’s Meeting.
