The Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering held the 2nd Regional Seminar (India) on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Our graduate school organizes regional seminars with the aim of forming interdisciplinary and cross‑field networks that use countries and regions—not specialized academic fields—as keywords. Following the 1st seminar held in July (focusing on Indonesia), this second seminar centered on India.
India was selected as the target region for the second seminar because academic exchange with India has rapidly expanded in recent years, and further enrollment of excellent international students from India is expected in the future.
A total of 16 faculty members from our graduate school gave presentations on topics such as:
international collaborative research with India,
research achievements that use India as a field site,
and their experiences with academic exchange with Indian universities and institutions.
Through sharing these insights, the seminar aimed to further expand international joint research and student exchange with India.
We also plan to hold seminars focusing on other regions in the future. By forming networks and sharing experiences and knowledge, we will continue to promote the internationalization of our graduate school.
Greeting from Dean Chatani
