Upon requests from members of the University to manufacture products such as apparatus, test pieces, and jigs, etc., for educational and research needs, our specialized and knowledgeable staff will examine the specifications of the request, sometimes together with the requester. Our staff will then process and/or repair items depending on the request.
Please note that while our staff are not confident using English, it is important to us to fully understand your request. Therefore, if you concerned about this, please come with a Japanese-speaking friend or tutor, or contact us in advance so that we can make preparations to help you.

Payment Methods
The payment source will be indicated by the requester in the "Work-Order Request Form." The Academic Research and Industry-Government Collaboration Support Group will then transfer expenses from the designated source.
* Please note that the expenses should be transferred up to three months before the deadline of the delivery of goods and provision of services necessary for the research. We strongly recommend that you discuss this matter at the first consultation.
When using external funds, there are a few things to keep in mind:
■ Use of the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research
- Since the deadline for the use of the grants is March 31 of each fiscal year, the requested work should also be completed three months before the deadline, which is December 31.
- In the case that the work is not completed by December, expenses can be transferred through the operating subsidy.
■ Use of the Funds by contract and/or joint research and other subsidies
- Although these funds have different usage deadlines, the basic rule is the same as using the grant mentioned above. (e.g., up to September if the research is to be completed in December)
- Please also check the contract and funding source to confirm whether or not payment for the requested work is possible.
