【Education】
School of Dentistry
Through lectures and practical training in dental anesthesiology, students acquire basic knowledge and skills in areas such as local anesthesia, intravenous sedation, general anesthesia, and emergency treatment. They also learn the basics of anesthesiology and perioperative management, and develop their general management skills. In addition, they are educated in the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of orofacial pain in dental treatment, and develop a good understanding of pain mechanisms and pain management methods.

Graduate School
Students deepen their understanding of advanced dental anesthesia management, sedation and general anesthesia, and learn research methods to develop their academic abilities to contribute to the development of dental anesthesia. In particular, we are promoting a wide range of research on dental anesthesia, focusing on clinical research related to sedation and monitoring, elucidation of the pathogenesis of orofacial pain, and basic research on the relationship between obesity and periodontal disease. Through this, we aim to contribute to improving the quality of perioperative management and elucidating the relationship between general health and dental diseases. In addition, we are also conducting research into multidimensional pain management, including pharmacological therapy and psychological approaches.
