Access to Electronic Journals and Databases
Emeritus Professors may access many electronic journals and databases provided that they meet the following conditions:
- They have obtained a Hiroshima University authentication account
- They continue to engage in research activities and are recognized as researchers by the University.
As of July 16, 2026, Emeritus Professors are confirmed to be included as Authorized Users under the license agreements for the following publishers and database providers:
- American Chemical Society
- American Institute of Physics
- Clarivate (including Web of Science)
- Elsevier
- JAICI (CAS SciFinder)
- JapanKnowledge
- Oxford University Press (access is available only from the Hiroshima University network)
- Springer Nature
- Taylor & Francis
- The Royal Society of Chemistry
- Wiley
