長期履修制度とは、仕事や家事等の都合で通学する機会が限られている方が、通常の修業年限を超えて計画的に学修することを支援する制度です。ソーシャルデータサイエンスプログラムの修業年限は、博士課程前期が2年、博士課程後期が3年ですが、この制度を利用すれば、博士課程前期は3～4年、博士課程後期は4～6年かけて計画的に履修していくことができ、しかも、在学期間が長くなっても授業料の総額は、修業年限（前期2年・後期3年）と同額になります。例えば、博士課程前期を4年間で、博士課程後期を6年間で修了する旨申請し許可された場合には、いずれも毎年納付する授業料が半額になります。なお、制度適用の申請には期間が定められていますので、ご注意ください。

If your job, childcare, or family care duties limit the time you can devote to your studies, you can apply to spread your degree over a longer period — without paying more tuition in total.

Master's program — normally 2 years; may be extended to 3 or 4 years.
Doctoral program — normally 3 years; may be extended to 4, 5, or 6 years.

Your total tuition remains the same as it would be over the normal period. It is simply divided across the additional years, so you pay less each year. For example, if you are approved to take 4 years for the master's program, or 6 years for the doctoral program, your annual tuition is halved.
You draw up a study plan with your academic supervisor after the orientation held at the start of your first year. Applications are accepted only during a designated period immediately after you enroll, so please contact us early if you are considering this option.

この制度は、雇用保険の被保険者の中で一定の要件を満たす人を対象に、働く方の主体的な能力開発の取組み又は中長期的なキャリア形成を支援するため、教育訓練受講に支払った費用の一部を国が支給する制度です。修了後に申請すると10万円が支給されます。

This program is a system under which the government reimburses a portion of the expenses paid for education and training courses for those insured by employment insurance who meet certain requirements, in order to support workers' independent efforts to develop their abilities or mid- to long-term career development.  Program is designated as a course eligible for general education and training benefits under this system, and 100,000 yen will be paid upon application after completion.
