Internship

What are internships?

Internships are valuable opportunities to experience the working environment

Internships are a "System where students can experience working in the form of training or apprenticeship at companies." In short, the term "internship" means "to try out and experience working at companies."
Internships are defined by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as "a period of supervised work experience for students during their studies or immediately after graduation that is related to their major or future career." MEXT, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW), and various economic organizations are actively promoting internships, and the number of companies that offer internships is increasing every year.
Internships provide an opportunity for students to broaden their perspectives and way of thinking, and to look at their way of life and future, away from their studies and club activities at the university, by being a part of general society through working at companies, local governments, NPOs, etc.

Internship information

There are two main types of internships. One is an internship that students can apply for directly, and the other is an internship through a university that requires a university recommendation.
