BIBLA Media Space

Located on the first floor of the Central Library, BIBLA Media Space provides access to:

  • Microfilm materials, CDs, and DVDs held by the library
  • Equipment such as 3D scanners and book scanners for digitizing materials from research labs

Purpose of Use

  • Viewing digitized materials by Hiroshima University students and faculty
  • Digitizing materials for academic purposes

※ Microfilm use requires prior application at the counter.
※ For the large display, connect either the provided laptop or your own. Bring an adapter if your device lacks HDMI.

How to Use the Equipment

Advance Reservations (HU Students & Faculty Only)

  • Reservations must be made by the day before via the online form.
  • After submitting, you will receive a confirmation email from the library.
  • On the day of use, present your student/faculty ID and the confirmation email at the Central Library counter.

Same-Day Use

  • Allowed only if no prior reservation exists.
  • Fill out the “Application Form” and bring it along with your ID to the counter.

Equipment Manuals

Usage Guidelines

  • Multiple groups may share the space at the same time.
  • Usage is limited to 3 hours per day.
  • Return all furniture and equipment to their original positions after use.
  • Clean up and take your trash with you.
  • In case of emergencies, the library may change or cancel usage permissions.
  • Users are responsible for checking copyright status of materials to be digitized.
  • Violations of rules may result in cancellation or suspension of future use.
  • Follow all instructions given by library staff.
