総合科学研究科では，継続的に外国語に触れることができる部屋「グローバル・コミュニティ・ルーム」を設置しています。インフォーマルな雰囲気の中で多国籍の学生たちが英語で対話をすることで，文化間コミュニケーション力の向上を図ります。また，研究分野を超えて，自由に質疑応答，意見交換することで，学際的な視点を身につけることを目的としています。

The Global Community Room（GCR）is a place where you can freely enjoy English conversation. The GCR has two major objectives: You improve your intercultural communication skills while interacting with people from different nationalities in English in a relaxing atmosphere; and you can gain interdisciplinary perspectives through exchanging thoughts and opinions with students from different academic areas.

毎週水曜日のランチタイムに開催します。学部生，大学院生など，どなたでも参加自由，途中入退出自由です。
英語が堪能なTA（ティーチング・アシスタント）が常駐し，皆さんの英語コミュニケーションスキルの向上をお手伝いします。昼食を持ってお気軽にご参加ください。

The GCR is open during lunch time on Wednesday and welcomes everyone including undergraduate and graduate students.
The Teaching Assistants (TAs) help you improve your English communication skills. Feel free to bring a lunch and join us!
