Diploma Policy

Master of Medicinal Science

  1. A student must have acquired the ability to play an active role in a broad field as a drug discovery researcher or a life science researcher.
  2. A student must have acquired the ability to be an educator/researcher who is responsible for establishment and dissemination of medicinal sciences in the field of drug discovery or administration.
  3. A student must have acquired the ability to play an active role in the international society.

Curriculum Policy

  1. The curriculum consists of lectures, seminars, and research.
  2. In order to acquire the ability to be an educator/researcher who contributes to establishment and dissemination of medicinal science, the students must take Advanced Lecture on Medicinal Science, from the viewpoint of organic chemistry, biotechnology, and pharmacology regarding the theory essential for knowledge in the field of medicinal science, which is the pillar of education and research, as common subjectⅡ(elective subject).
  3. In order to acquire the abilities to play an active role in the international society in the field of medicinal science, the students will take omnibus subjects as Common SubjectⅡ(elective subject) with the aim to deepen expertise and scholarship.

1 Admission Policy
Based on the diploma policy and curriculum policy, Medicinal Sciences Major is seeking for the following students:

  1. Those who are willing to acquire basic knowledge widely in drug discovery / life sciences research
  2. Those who are willing to play an active part in fields of research / development of the innovative drug discovery company
  3. Those who are willing to acquire English ability, ability for presentation through research of medicinal sciences

2 Selection Policy
【General Selection】
In order to confirm applicants’ expertise and language skill in the undergraduate level and also to see the capability that is applicable to the curriculum policy of this major, an academic ability test (written examination and oral examination) will be conducted. Expertise and motivation for research will be evaluated comprehensively.

【Special Selection for Students with careers】
In order to confirm applicants’ expertise and language skill in the undergraduate level and also to see the capability that is applicable to the curriculum policy of this major, expertise and motivation for research will be evaluated comprehensively by an essay regarding the student’s expertise and an oral examination.

【Special Selection for Senior Citizens】
In order to confirm applicants’ expertise and language skill in the undergraduate level and also to see the capability that is applicable to the curriculum policy of this major, expertise and motivation for research will be evaluated comprehensively by an essay regarding the student’s expertise and an oral examination.

【Special Selection for International Students】
In order to confirm applicants’ expertise and language skill in the undergraduate level and also to see the capability that is applicable to the curriculum policy of this major, expertise and motivation for research will be evaluated comprehensively by a written examination (foreign language) and an oral examination.
