本授業は，大学院共通科目のうちの，最近の社会システムの進展を知り，これからの時代に必須な知識を身につけ，現代社会の課題に具体的に取り組み，必須な知識・技術を使うことができる能力を身につけることを目指す「キャリア開発・データリテラシー科目」の選択科目の一つです。 

国内外の民間企業、公的機関、非営利団体などへの長期インターンシップを通じて、企業や社会の課題解決に貢献しつつ、実践的な能力の養成とキャリアオプションの拡大を図ります。実習期間が原則1ヵ月間程度以上で、主に以下の派遣先を中心とする長期インターンシップを対象として単位を認定します。

①　本学独自の受け入れ先リストに基づくインターンシップ（有給含む）
②　文部科学省ジョブ型研究インターンシップ（2カ月程度以上の有給）

なお、必要に応じて、学生の希望に基づき、上記以外のインターンシップ先を別途開拓し、マッチング支援を行う場合がある。
