Janowski Ingo
PositionAssistant Professor
Research AreaTourism management and marketing, consumer behaviour, intercultural communication
Research Topic
My expertise lies predominently in adventure tourism - specifically the perceptions, motivations and barriers towards adventure tourism across cultures. I am also interested in tourist behaviour more generally, destination management, and current issues in tourism, including overtourism and special interest tourism.
Message
In a contemporary world full of animosity, conflict and uncertainty, tourism can serve as an antidode - fostering economic development, intercultural exchange and awarenes, and the appreciation and protection of our natural environment - if done right. At IGS, we strive to cultivate these values and develop critical, interdisciplinary thinking for a better tomorrow.
