■ Abstract: Japan is one of the last nations to uphold a policy of seclusion from international tourism, while it sits at the top of national destinations to travel after the pandemic in the world. By analyzing what had exactly happened to the US tourism industry to its economy, we will try to plan ahead to utilize the economic impact of tourism to solve various social issues in Japan. We will look into what had happened to the tourism industry in the United States, to understand how tourism industrial sectors help drive the U.S. economy move out of negative economic shock caused by the pandemic in the last two years.
