Application Documents Checklist
Please use the "Application Documents Checklist" below to prepare the documents successfully. If you are concerning whether you have incomplete documents or not, please send the prepared documents to IGS Office (igs-application@hiroshima-u.ac.jp). We will confirm your documents before the application period. It would be helpful to prevent the incomplete application.
Application Eligiblity
Applicant who have graduated from a high school in China
It is highly recommended that applicants who have graduated high schools in China (excluding that in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao) additionally submit the Verification Report of China Secondary Education Qualification Certificate (中国中等教育学历认证报告). Please obtain the certificate for which the Web authentication will be valid as of January 11, 2024 via the authentication system of the Ministry of Education of China.
Without the qualification certificate, Hiroshima University may not be able to confirm your application eligibility. If the Verification Report of China Secondary Education Qualification Certificate (中国中等教育学历认证报告) is unavailable, please contact the IGS Office (igs-application@hiroshima-u.ac.jp).

Applicant who have graduated from International School
Please contact IGS Office (igs-application@hiroshima-u.ac.jp) as soon as possible if you do not meet any of requirement below.
The school accredited by either of one below
- The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) headquartered in California
- The United States of America; the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) headquartered in Colorado
- The United States of America; the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) headquartered in Massachusetts
- The United States of America; or the Council of International Schools (CIS) headquatered in South Holland, the Kingdom of the Netherlands
Or you have obtained/you will obtain either of certificate by March 21, 2024 below
- The International Baccalaureate Diploma qualification granted by the International Baccalaureate Organization, which is a foundation established in accordance with the Swiss Civil Code
- The Abitur certificate, recognized as the qualification for admission into a university by the Federal Republic of Germany
- The Baccalauréat Diploma, recognized as the qualification for admission into a university by the Republic of France
- The General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A Level), recognized as the qualification for admission into a university by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Applicant who are not sure if you meet the application eligibility
Please contact IGS Office (igs-application@hiroshima-u.ac.jp) as soon as possible.
Then, please attach the graduation certificate, the academic transcripts for last three years to the email.
