The Writing Center invites HU Faculty members to the Academic Writing & Research
Communication Retreat.
The Retreat offers you an opportunity to focus on your writing and to learn how to
disseminate your research to a wider audience. You can find more detailed information
on the retreat in the attached flyer.

• Time & Date: 9:00-17:00, Saturday November 16, 2019
  *Please be aware that the sessions will start on time at 9.00 and 14.00 sharp.
• Venue:  3rd floor, Hiroshima International Plaza
  4th floor, Student Plaza, Higashi-hiroshima campus

• Transportation: If possible, we suggest you access the venue by car. Please carpool if possible. We will offer transportation from the University to the venue for those of you who do not have a car.

　*Lunch is available at Restaurant RACCOLTO on the 1st floor of the Hiroshima
　International Plaza; you can also bring your own lunch.
　*Please bring your laptop with you so that you can work on your paper during the
　retreat. As we encourage you not to use the internet, please be sure to save all the
　materials you might need onto a USB drive and bring it with you.
　*If you want to focus on writing for the duration of the entire workshop, you can
　choose the all-day writing retreat option on the registration form. However, the
　workshop is intended to offer a combination of focused writing and input on research
　communication.
