The Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Center for Modern Languages and the Hiroshima University Writing Center are pleased to announce the following collaborative workshop! Please join us for a journey into the world of academic writing with the talented and dedicated faculty of UMPSA's Center for Modern Languages.
 

• A Meet and Greet will be held on October 2nd in Library Hall!
• Workshop Dates: Tuesday, October 3 (Abstract Writing) Wednesday, October 4, 2023 (Presentation Skills)
• Times: Morning- 9:00 A.M.~10:00 A.M
             Afternoon- 1:30 P.M.~2:30 P.M
             Evening- 4:00 P.M.~4:30 P.M.
  • Each session will include the same materials, so you do not need to come to all of them.
• Place:Library Hall, 1st floor, Hiroshima University Central Library
• Target: All Undergraduates and post-graduate students welcome.
• Language: English
• Materials to bring: Laptop, something to write with

This two-day workshop will be a follow-up to the previous five day online workshop "Writing Center Five-Session Online Workshop: Developing Academic Reading and Writing Literacies: A Self-directed Learning Approach". We strongly encourage those who joined the online workshop to take the time to come and solidify the knowledge you gained. However, if you were unable to attend the online workshop, you are very welcome to join as there will be a brief recap of the online workshops. Newcomers are welcome!

Each of the two days will have three sessions to choose from: morning, afternoon, and evening. Please select one session to attend on both days, or one if you prefer. The first day's sessions will be about abstract writing, complete with activities to help you understand the process of writing an abstract well. The second day's sessions will cover presentation skills, during which you will even be able to practice presenting yourselves!

We hope that you will join us in this wonderful opportunity for learning all about academic writing. Plus, you will have the chance to get a nice souvenir from UMPSA!
