OVERVIEW Of THE ‘HU COFFEE CHATS’
The Global Career Design Center has hosted career events named 'HU Coffee Chats' since November 2024.
Speakers at the events will be young highly-skilled non-Japanese professionals who studied at the PhD Courses of the Graduate Schools of Hiroshima University, who are currently working in Japan. They will provide information on their experiences and tips of the job-hunting toward their juniors.
We hope that this will further promote the employment of young, highly-skilled non-Japanese personnel in Japan, promote the globalization of Japan, and contribute to the realization of innovation in Japan and worldwide.

INTENDED AUDIENCES
Students studying in the PhD courses at Hiroshima University, young highly-skilled international talent, undergraduate students aiming to enroll in PhD courses, and students in the master's course
SPEAKERS
Samuel Mumbere
Doctor of Engineering, Hiroshima University, March 2024.
Researcher in HITACHI, specializing in Renewable Energy Management Systems.
Studied telecommunications engineering as an undergraduate degree. From masters, his focus has been electrical systems and control engineering.
FACILITATOR
Lovisa Panduleni Johannes
A PhD student at Hiroshima University majoring in renewable energy engineering.
Bachelors in physics (solar energy). Masters in mechanical engineering (biomass energy).
LANGUAGES
Explanations and interactions will be mainly in English. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
*We welcome questions in Japanese during the Q&A session.
