IGS Welcomes Students from Honolulu, Hawaii

On June 24, 2026, IGS welcomed five students from Kawananakoa Middle School and Kaimuki Middle School in Honolulu, Hawaii, as part of an international exchange program organized by Hiroshima Global Academy (HiGA).

Despite the rainy weather, the visit began with a campus tour led by IGS student. The visiting students explored various university facilities, including lecture rooms and the library, and learned about student life at Hiroshima University. They then enjoyed lunch with a IGS student in the cafeteria, providing an opportunity for informal conversation and cultural exchange.

In the afternoon, an exchange session was held in the IGS Common Room, where participants discussed their school life, interests, and cultural backgrounds. The visit concluded with a welcome address and an introduction to IGS by Associate Professor Qu.

The exchange provided a valuable opportunity for both the visiting students and IGS students to deepen their intercultural understanding and build new international connections.
