The Hiroshima University Writing Center has successfully concluded its eight-session graduate workshop series, From Abstract to Conclusion, designed to support graduate students in developing their academic writing skills. Altogether, 24 graduate students participated in the series.
The workshop brought together graduate students from a range of disciplines and covered every major section of a research paper, from the abstract to the conclusion. Through practical activities, collaborative discussions, and peer learning, participants explored strategies for writing more clearly, structuring their papers effectively, and communicating their research to different audiences.
The series also provided opportunities for participants to discuss common writing challenges, exchange experiences across disciplines, and develop practical solutions together. We hope that the knowledge and strategies gained throughout the workshop will support participants in their future research and academic writing.
Following the positive response to the series, plans are underway to offer the workshop again in the future. Please check the Writing Center website for future announcements.
