Research Topic
Inspired by the anthropology of personhood and morality (What is human? What is good?), I have explored these concepts through fieldwork on civic movements and care work in India. Drawing on anthropological cases and theories, I’m researching diverse possibilities for humans as mutually dependent beings.
Message
Anthropology teaches us that what we consider “normal” is not normal at all in other socio-material contexts. If such differences exist, things that seem unchangeable to us might also be changed by tinkering with the details. Let’s explore human possibilities and try out new ideas!
