STEP 1: Confirm “Selection System”

STEP 2: Check “Application Eligibility”

Have you received (or do you expect to receive) 12 years of school education or any equivalent qualification by March 2024?

〇Inquiry Regarding Application Eligibility

If you don’t know if you meet your Application eligibility, please inquire with us (igs-application@hiroshima-u.ac.jp) regarding the following contents.

1. Your nationality
2. Your residence
3. Attach the “Educational Background Form”
4. Send the link of the high school you have graduated（or expect to graduate)
5. Attach a copy of the English Proficiency Requirements Attach the Verification Report of China Secondary Education Qualification Certificate (中国中等教育学历认证报告)*

*Applicants who have graduated high schools including that in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao) only

STEP 3: Prepare Application Documents

Prepare all the required documents.

Document A: Personal Statement
Document B: Educational Background
Document C: Document to Prove Your Application Eligibility
Document D: Document to Prove Your English Language Proficiency
Document E: Academic Transcripts and Test Results
Document F: Copy of Passport
Document G: A certified copy of residence register (Jyu-min Hyo no ustsushi 住民票の写し)(only for applicants who possess a nationality other than Japanese and reside in Japan)

STEP 4: Input Application Data into our Internet Application System (UCARO)

  • For instructions on how to enter the required data into the Internet application system, please refer to the application guide for each Selection System.

 

  • Pay the application Fee (17,000 yen) through our Internet Application System.

STEP 5: Send Application Documents through Registered Mail

  • Please download and use the following form to confirm whether your application documents have been successfully prepared before mailing.

<<Important>> Since the international post may take time to deliver, we recommend you send your application documents by post as earlier as possible if you apply to "Overseas Entrance Interview Examination for International Applicants in July" or "Overseas Entrance Interview Examination for International and Japanese Applicants in November". In that case, you can send your documents before completing "STEP 4: Input Application Data into our Internet Application System (UCARO)".

STEP 6: Attain your Examinee's Number

  • Confirm your Examinee's Number on the UCARO after the designated date (please refer to the application guide for each Selection System).

STEP 7: Check the Result Notification of the First Selection

  • Applicants who have passed the First Selection will be able to print the Examination Card at the UCARO (please refer to the application guide for each Selection System).

 

  • If you cannot print the Examination Card, please contact the IGS office (igs-application@hiroshima-u.ac.jp)

STEP 8: For Those who succeed in arriving at the Final Selection

Applicants who take the Overseas Entrance Interview Examination

       Arrange the date and venue for the final interview.

  • Successful applicants will be contacted by mail to arrange the date and venue for the final interview.

 

Applicants who take the On Campus Entrance Interview Examination

       Confirm the date and venue for the final interview.

  • Information on where to assemble and the time will be provided along with the result notification of the First Selection.

STEP 9: Take the Interview Examination

STEP 10: Check the Result Notification of the Final Selection

  • The examinee numbers of successful applicants will be announced on the UCARO.

 

  • The formal announcement of successful applicants will be made as a printed notification by postal mail.

STEP 11: Complete the Admission Procedures within the Designated Period

   Successful applicants can download the Enrollment Procedure Guide from the UCARO.

  • Log in to the UCARO and enter required information.
  • Pay enrollment fee within the enrollment procedure period.
  • Send the required documents to reach IGS by the deadline.
