Research Topic
My specialized area of research involves interface science. An interface is an extremely thin layer of a few molecules thick that only exists between two adjacent phases, nevertheless it is one of the most dominant factors comprising of various phenomena in nature such as the generation of clouds, material transport across cell membranes, sticky gecko feet, and the nature of soil colloids. It also affects stability of entire systems. I have been fascinated by these intriguing however invisible interfacial regions and now investigate this area of research through thermodynamics.
