Research AreaTourism studies, Heritage tourism

Research Topic
My research interest is in heritage tourism. Heritage is not only something to be inherited but also created. By creating heritage, we connect the past, present, and future. Tourism not only commodifies heritage as a resource but also helps transform and create it. I focus on topics such as the components of desirable heritage tourism, the reasons for creating heritage, and how heritage tourism contributes to sustainable regional development. Recently, I have been researching value-based heritage tourism.

Message
There is a saying, “Others are a mirror reflecting oneself.” Encounters with others and different cultures prompt individuals to contemplate “What kind of person am I?” and “What kind of person do I want to be?”. In university, it is important to engage with diverse cultures, reflect on oneself, and cultivate the abilities to create a future society. I believe IGS can provide such a place for you.
