A no-contact service where researchers upload their document by the displayed time and receive comments from a Writing Advisor before the end of the same day.
Who This Service Is For
- Faculty members and graduate researchers who write in English
- Those who would like a manuscript (whole or partial text) such as a journal article or book chapter checked prior to submission, with focus on qualities such as: structure, argument, flow, clarity, language choices
- Those who would like aspects of peer review checked: the Advisor can check a manuscript's adherence to peer review reports and any accompanying cover letters or response letters
- Those who either do not have time for a meeting, or do not feel the need for a meeting

How to Use the Service
1. Make an appointment
Reservations are required for the Manuscript Drop-Off Service. Please select the time you would like to receive the service and make a reservation.
Reservations can be made through the WRC system. For details on how to make a reservation, please see this page.
2. Upload Your Manuscript File
Please upload your manuscript file at the time of reservation. Accepted file formats are limited to Word and PDF.
3. Receive Feedback
During the reserved time, a Writing Advisor will review your manuscript and provide comments directly on the file. The commented manuscript, together with feedback, will be returned to you.
