Students wishing to study a specific subject, at either the undergraduate or graduate level, may be admitted as research students (‟kenkyuusei”). The research period for Research Students shall be one semester (first semester or second semester) or one academic year. Research students are not entitled to degrees upon completion of their research work.

Please discuss the substance of your research with the professor under whom you wish to study before applying.
Students wishing to enroll as a research student at the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering are required to complete the application procedure by the deadline based on the application guidelines for the program which your prospective supervisor is mainly in charge.
