Research Topic
I conduct research on climate change and greenhouse gas dynamics. Even though “climate change” has become widely known in recent years, there are still many aspects we do not understand. What keeps the Earth’s climate habitable? What are the potential consequences if global warming continues? I am investigating the mysteries of the habitable climate through integrated analysis using numerical models, as well as ground and satellite observations.

Message
I oversee one of the few laboratories in Japan that specialize in greenhouse gases, focusing on atmospheric chemistry, atmospheric physics, and geophysics. Let’s start with the basics of climate change and greenhouse gases and then consider together the possibility of achieving carbon neutrality.
