IGS Alumni gave a paper presentation with Professor Miki Shibata at the 62 JACET International Convention held in Tokyo

Riho Ishii, who graduated in March 2023, gave a paper presentation with Professor Miki Shibata at the 62 JACET International Convention held in Tokyo between August 29 and 31 (see the conference program as follows).

Please read the following comment from Professor Miki Shibata.

--------------------

The paper entitled Japanese and International Students’ Perception of Language and Classroom Performance in English-Taught Program, is based on her graduation thesis research. Focusing on an IGS program, her study examined whether Japanese and international students differ in terms of motivation for enrollment, self-rated language proficiency, classroom performance, and Japanese use in an English Medium of Instruction (EMI) classroom. She conducted the online survey and received a total of 116 responses. Please read the conference abstract for the findings. As her thesis supervisor, I am so proud of her achievement. Keep in mind that if you work hard, your undergraduate thesis may contribute to the academic field.
