On November 20, 2023, IGS students had an online exchange with twenty-two second-year high school students from HIRO Gakuen, a Brazilian school in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture. IGS students introduced Hiroshima University and the city of Hiroshima, and HIRO Gakuen students introduced themselves.

On December 11, 2023, the students visited IGS as part of their school excursion. 

After a welcome speech by Professor Yamada, the Department Head, they visited classes, had a campus tour with their teachers, and had a pleasant time with IGS students over dinner at the campus cafeteria.
