Application for Permission to Use the Name of Hiroshima University for Nominal Support

We have established the guidelines for the use of the name of Hiroshima University (hereinafter, the “University”) for nominal support, including for joint hosting and sponsorship of events and activities. Before applying for permission, please read the following guidelines.

Documents for Submission

  • Application for Permission to Use the Name of Hiroshima University for Nominal Support, Etc.
  • Material(s) that provide(s) detailed information on the event/activity for which you wish to seek the University’s nominal support (general outline, posters, etc.)

Please send the required documents by e-mail or post to the address below.

Requirements for Permission

The applicant who satisfies the following requirements for permission will receive written permission about one week after receipt of the application form.
Please note that the application may be rejected or permission granted may be revoked, depending on the application requirements.
Be sure to notify us promptly if there is any change to the content of the relevant event or activity.

1)Organizer
Hosting organizations must fall under any of the following
(1)National or local government agency
(2)Educational/research institution
(3)Academic organization
(4)Any other public-interest corporation or an entity equivalent thereto (excluding religious corporations or entities thereto and political organizations); or
(5)Organization that the President deems appropriate.

2)Details of Event/Activity
The event/activity for which you wish to seek the University’s nominal support must fall under any of the following:
(1)An event/activity that aims to contribute to promoting education, science and technology, sport or culture; or
(2)An event/activity that is not-for-profit and will not be used for the advertising of a specific organization, etc.

3)Others
(1)The presence of the hosting organization must be made clear.
(2)For seminars or lecture meetings, the appropriate instructors or speakers must be employed.
(3)The venue for such an event/activity must have appropriate facilities and/or measures to safeguard public health and safety.
(4)The University will not bear any expenses incurred in connection with the implementation of such an event/activity.
(5)The University will have no liability to compensate participants, etc. for any damage or loss arising from the implementation of such an event/activity.
(6)For nominal support, the name of the University may be used for a temporary period of time.
