Professor Toshihiro Yamada has been granted the 2019 Hiroshima University Education Award. Hiroshima University grants this award to faculty for their remarkable achievements in the practice of education. By his promotion of student participation, curriculum development, and pedagogical strategy, Professor Yamada has promoted a superior pedagogy, striven toward the administration and implementation of an English-only curriculum, and contributed to the globalization of education at Hiroshima University. Further, Professor Yamada has been elected “My Best Teacher” by his students.
